King of the Hammers is considered the toughest one-day off road race in the world. It is the largest off-road race event in North America in terms of both competitors and spectators. It combines desert racing and rock crawling, and has expanded from one race to a series of 5 races held throughout the week and takes place each February in Johnson Valley, CA.

Derek West getting ready for this year's King of the Hammers by using MC² as one of his finishing touches. Why does Derek use MC²?
During the 2015 King of the Hammers, Derek told us that he was crossing the dry lake bed at 6,000 rpm doing 90 mph when he noticed that his oil pressure was only 9 psi. He still had to finish the lakebed and then a section of rock crawling before he could pit. He made it back to the pit, and said “he has to credit MC² with keeping his motor from blowing.” He finished the race in 5th place after nearly eleven brutal hours of racing.
